Dombey & Daughter at 26 High Street, which will be initially funded by the Old Town Portas Team, has been set up by Samantha Tongue, Mickey Rose and David Chisholm.

The shop will sell knitwear, gifts, stationary and a handmade skincare range and has taken on new ranges of lamps, art and photography prints.

D&D, open from 11am to 4pm, is not only intended as a retail space but as a hub for community ventures and events.
