Tina Ryan now wants to raise £500 for Myton Hospices after braving the shave last week.
She said: “I decided to shave my hair off after my closest friend was diagnosed with cancer.

“She was worried about losing her hair due to chemotherapy, so I said I would lose mine too. Wherever she loses her hair - I’ve agreed I will lose mine.”

Tina said her friend has always been there for her and she wanted to give something back.
“I decided it was my turn to support her and what better way than to support Myton Hospices?
“They are a charity very close to her as they helped her family twice when they needed it.”

Tina’s selfless act just keeps on giving as she will donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust.

“They are a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer,” she said.
“I have never really liked my hair so to cut it all off is no great loss - in fact it’s a blessing. I just hope the lovely people of Rugby will get behind me and help me reach my target.”
The shave took place at Asda in Rugby and raised more than £400 so far.
