Toddler group’s party raises £800 for baby unit

TODDLERS and parents enjoyed cookery, balloon modelling and cycling during a fundraising party in aid of Warwick Hospital’s special care baby unit.

Dandy Development, which organises singing, music and sensory activities for babies and toddlers, held the celebration at Offchurch village hall to mark its first anniversary. The event, which also included outdoor soft play and a bouncy castle, raised £834 for the unit, which provides special medical and nursing care to babies born prematurely or with complications.

Nikki Sayers, event organiser and founder of Dandy Development, said: “All the proceeds from the day went to the special care baby unit, as it does such a wonderful job saving precious lives. So many little ones who have attended classes this year have been touched by the support and wonderful care that it provides.”
