At Cape Road in Warwick on Tuesday October 1, OPU Warwickshire received a report of a Mercedes that had crashed into the wall and fence of St Michaels Hospital and then crashed into the hospital building.
Officers attended the scene with the ambulance and fire service and a 75-year-old man was safely assisted out of the vehicle.
Warwickshire OPU have said: “Unbelievable no one else was injured.
"The driver was taken to Warwick Hospital with minor injuries.
“We have now referred the driver to the DVLA for a revocation of his driving licence.”
On the same morning as the St Michaels Hospital collision, officers attended Daventry Road in Southam having received a report of a Ford Focus in collision with a Stagecoach Bus.
The Ford Focus driver mis-judged an overtake, clipped the front of the bus and the car landed upside down in a ditch.
Warwickshire OPU said: “We again attended with the ambulance and the fire service and the driver was assisted from the vehicle with very minor injuries.
"We arranged for the recovery of the Ford Focus and an investigation into the collision is underway.”
