Traffic lights causing long tailbacks in Rugby town centre could remain until Friday

Temporary traffic lights causing long tailbacks in the town centre look set to remain in place until Friday, April 16.

The lights, sited at the bottom of North Street near the town hall, have been causing tailbacks for many days.

Today, April 12, the Advertiser saw tailbacks on one side stretching back to St Andrew's Church - while on the other side the road was backed up onto the A426 roundabout.

Warwickshire County Council which granted permission for the lights to be installed, said the reason for the works is not publicly available, due to Department for Transport data processing policies.
