Tribute paid to Kenilworth man who died in Leek Wootton crash

The family of a man who died in a road traffic collision near Leek Wootton have released a tribute to him.

Nigel Hadfield, aged 40, was killed when his Vauxhall Meriva hit an HGV parked in a lay-by on the northbound A46 towards the A452 Leamington turn off

The incident happened at around 5.20pm on Friday February 27. Mr Hadfield, from Kenilworth, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement his family said: “Nigel was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed by many. Nigel leaves behind a wife and two young children.”

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it. Information can be given to PC 1616 Pennington of the Operational Patrol Unit in Rugby on 01926 415415, quoting incident 297 of Friday February 27.
