The restaurant, which will be serving food including jerk chicken, escovitch fish, blue mountain curry goat and many other traditional and original dishes on the premises daily, will have seating for 120 people and will create 50 new jobs.

Managing director Ajith Jaya-Wickrema said: “We chose Leamington because it’s an affluent area with lots going on - a bustling shopping destination, plenty of businesses in the town, a large ethnic community and lots of students.

“Eating and drinking are at the heart and soul of the Caribbean culture and our aim is to capture the essence of that way of life and the great food that evolves there.

“Those small islands produce such great and varied talent and the food reflects the eclectic mix of people who live there.”

The restaurant is holding a VIP launch on March 20 with the official opening expected around then.
