Two Castles Run - June 9 2013

Thousands of people took part and watched this year’s Two Castles Run on Sunday.

Hundreds of people took part and lined the streets for the 31st Two Castles Run on Sunday. Runners began in Warwick Castle and finished in Kenilworth Castle - with Richard Harper the fastest in 33 minutes and 12 seconds. It was the fourth win for the Leamington Cycling and Athletic Club member. The first woman home was Eleanor Fowler from Nuneaton Harriers in a time of 37 minutes and 33 seconds. The first male junior was Guy Allen (34min 38sec) and the first female junior was Julie Emmerson (43min 19sec). The race was organised by the Kenilworth Rotary Club with the help of the Leamington Cycling and Atheltics Club. Representative of main sponsors Blythe Liggins solicitors Richard Thornton said it was a great honour for the company to be sponsoring the run again.
