Two men charged with Leamington burglaries

A Kenilworth man and a Warwick man have been charged and remanded in custody following a Warwickshire Police investigation into a series of burglaries in the Brunswick area of Leamington.

Daniel Lawrence, 23 of Hampton Road, Warwick and James Considine, 21, of Beauchamp Road in Kenilworth have been jointly charged with four offences of aggravated burglary and one offence of attempted burglary.

They appeared at Leamington Spa Magistrates Court on Monday and have been remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday January 22.

The offenders were located and arrested in the early hours of Saturday October 11 after allegedly carrying out four burglaries on Yewtree Court, Wych Elm Drive and Tachbrook Street.

They were also allegedly involved in an attempted burglary on Brunswick Road.

Det Sgt Cindy Stephenson said: “These offenders attempted to break into one property and gained entry to four properties in a short space of time, in the early hours of Saturday morning. We were able to swiftly locate them and bring them before the courts.
