UPDATE: Section of A45 near Rugby reopens after accident
A section of the A45 has now reopened after an earlier accident involving a woman and a lorry.
The eastbound section of the road between the B4455 near Stretton-on-Dunsmore and the A4071 near Cawston had been closed.
The accident involved a 34-year-old woman and a lorry.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident on London Road near Stretton-on-Dunsmore at 11.51am.
“A 34-year-old woman had been in a collision with a HGV.
“She was on the pavement when we found her.
“She had an arm and leg injury. We splinted both and immobilised her and gave he pain relief and took her to University Hospital in Coventry.”
