Vet’s hedgehog tips for bonfire events
A Wellesbourne vet who rehomes injured hedgehogs in his garden is appealing to people to check their bonfires before lighting them and to build them as late as possible.
Russell Hall, who runs the Avonvale Veterniary Centre Wellesbourne surgery, said that unlit bonfires are the perfect place for hedgehogs to hibernate.
