The incident happened today (Sunday) on the A46 northbound between Leek Wootton and Kenilworth, where standing water has been a problem for many years.

A police spokesperson said: "The driver of the Peugeot hit standing water and lost control colliding with the Audi SQ7 causing both vehicles to leave the road.

"Both drivers escaped uninjured. Please take care out on the wet roads and drive to the conditions."
