One of the services that the Warwickshire Outsourcing Centre provides is a Virtual Assistant (VA) to businesses, which has proven very successful. Kerry said: “I am so overwhelmed. I have always had a passion for helping other people, starting with my desire to become a midwife in my teens, and continuing right through to my time as a PA, and now as a business founder.

“I have approached both of my businesses with the objective of serving my clients and connections helping them to grow their businesses but this has aided my own growth.”

Laura, a mother of one from Warwick, owns her own marketing, design and PR business that focuses on start-ups and small businesses called Educate Business Ltd.

She said: “I love what I do anyway and I get a real buzz off giving people in business their ‘a-ha’ moments along with the support and advice for them to succeed. So to be additionally rewarded for this role is just a pleasure!”

Both Kerry and Laura have been shortlisted for the Pillar category, which is open to businesses that support others in some way, either business to business support or assistance to the public. They will find out how they get on at the Mumpreneur Awards which will be held on November 8, at the Heart of England Centre in Warwickshire.
