Warwick man jailed for burglary in Leamington

A Warwick man has been jailed for 12 months for burglary offences in Leamington.

Mattew Evans, 28, of Cymbeline Way, Warwick, also has to serve another three months in jail for escaping from lawful custody.

He appeared at Warwick Crown Court at the Justice Centre in Leamington on Friday (December 13) alongsde Eliot John Morre, of Coventry, who was jailed for nine months for burglary.

Both had been arrested on November 20 when they were seen by police officers running away from a house in Eden Court in Mason Avenue, Lillington, carrying a TV stolen from the house.

The two men appeared at Leamington Magistrates Court on November 22 and were held in custody until their crown court appearance.
