Co-head teacher Hellen Dodsworth said: “The children included newspapers, a copy of the Argos catalogue, a DVD and loom bands in the capsule. They also added handwritten letters to the future.”

Mrs Dodsworth said the extension to the school was an exciting time for both the school and pupils.

They children were part of a building council with representatives from each class holding meetings with the site manager for Ashe Construction, Mark Skillington.
