Wellesbourne woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man killed in Stratford

Among them was a 26-year-old woman from Wellesbourne along with a two men aged 39 and 41 and another woman, aged 37, who are all from Stratford.

A fifth person, a 36-year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The arrests were in relation to an assault on Arden Street at around 4.15pm yesterday (Monday).

The victim, a 36-year-old man, who has not yet been formally identified, died at the scene following the assault.

The road is currently closed at the roundabout on Guild Street/Birmingham Road, next to Shakespeare Street, whilst police carry out their inquiries.
