Whitnash pupils and police work together to tidy town

SCHOOLCHILDREN in Whitnash braved the wet weather to clear the streets surrounding their school of litter.

Accompanied by police community support officers from the town’s Safer Neighbourhood team and parents, the Whitnash Primary School pupils swept the alleyways and park close to the premises in Langley Road and picked up rubbish to be recycled or thrown away.

Afterwards the volunteers were rewarded for their efforts with hot chocolate, mince pies and sweets.
