Wine tasting event boosts charity funds

A CHARITY which provides support for victims of rape and sexual abuse has thanked those who contributed to a successful fund raising evening.

Safeline, based in Priory Road, Warwick, hosted a special evening at which a variety of fine wine were on offer as well as nibbles and top raffle prizes.

The event raised £500, which will go towards helping people across Warwickshire and Coventry.

Lindsey Lavender, Safeline’s operations manager, said: “We are delighted to have raised such a great amount as we rely heavily on donations to keep our free counselling service and evening helpline open to people in Warwickshire.

“Safeline wants to continue to help support people in the local community, and we thank everyone who came and took part in our event.”
