Woman dies in car crash on M40 motorway
The car they were in collided with a lorry on the southbound carriageway at about 1am.
A rapid response vehicle with two BASICS emergency doctors, a rapid response vehicle driven by a paramedic area support officer and two West Midlads Ambulance Service crews attended.

Hide AdA West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A man had been driving the car.
“He had two women passengers, one of whom was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The other passenger, a woman in her twenties, had a head injury. The doctors on scene anaesthetised her and maintained her airway.
“She was given pain relief and was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire accompanied by one of the doctors.

Hide Ad“The driver, a man in his fifties, had a suspected broken arm and back pain. He was given pain relief at the scene and was immobilised before taken to the same hospital.
“The lorry driver was uninjured.”
