Woman taken to hospital after fire in Warwick flat

A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire in Warwick early on Saturday morning.

Fire crews from Leamington and Kenilworth were called to a flat above the Tilted Wig pub in Market Place shortly after 3.30am.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a covering jet to tackle the blaze, which had been caused by food having been left in the oven.
