A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crew arrived they found a small car approximately 150 metres across a field.

“The car had left the road, gone through a fence, continued across the field, gone through a second fence before coming to stop.

“Given the distance and route travelled, the car had suffered remarkably little damage.

“Due to the location and the state of the field, the crews had to walk across to the car and so requested the air ambulance attend as it could land relatively nearby.
