Young man seriously injured after two incidents

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two incidents on Friday which are connected to a 20-year-old man sustaining serious injuries.

The young man is currently receiving treatment for a broken hand and severe cuts to the head.

Officers are yet to establish the cause of his injuries.

A 26-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The first incident took place near the band stand in the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington on Friday between 4pm and 4.30pm.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a fight or disturbance take place.

The second incident happened in Park Road on the same day between 4.30pm and 4.50pm.

Officer would like to hear anyone who saw anything suspicious or who saw a black Vauxhall Astra in the small car park by the entrance of Victoria Park or anyone who saw the car driving along Park Road between those times.
