Young Sarah plays a key role in Warwickshire’s County Cup tennis success
Leamington’s Sarah Costa was selected to play for the Warwickshire Under-10 Girls’ team at the Regional County Cup at Corby over the weekend.
Costa was an integral part of the four-girl team and was undefeated, winning all four singles matches and two doubles encounters.
She played very well and didn’t even drop a set against some of the strongest players in the region. Her excellent efforts helped Warwickshire win the competition – beating Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire – and she will now go with the rest of the team to the national finals on the weekend of June 14 and 15.
