Leamington triathlete Megan McDonald retained her title of British Elite Youth Champion at Queen’s Dock in Liverpool on Saturday.

McDonald,16 ,who represents The BikeYard, contended with high temperatures and warnings about jellyfish in the dock to finish in in 35 minues and 33 seconds ahead of GB teammates Sophie Alden in (35:53) and

Elizabeth Hood in (36:06) .

McDonald will now train in France before she moves on to Hungary with British Triathlon to race in Budapest and then finishes her season in the last Super Series race at Eaton Dorney in August.
