Andrew puts Regency Run behind him to clock club record at Road Relays
The men clocked a time 23 minutes faster than when they last ran the Nationals in 2010.
With the event also incorporating the Midland Road Relays, postponed in March due to snow, the men finished a best-ever 12th and the ladies’ teams finished 12th and 16th.

Nearly a minute faster than the next quickest long leg by Rich Simkiss (29:02), this is believed to be a club record and means Andrew now holds the records for both long and short legs, having clocked 15:45 for the 2.99-mile leg in 2012.
The quickest short leg was run by Phil Gould in 15:57, an excellent time considering he recently donated bone marrow and has been short on training as a result.
Stuart Hopkins and Chris McCarthy warmed up for this weekend’s London Marathon with very respectable long legs (29:23 and 29:36), with Jim Sawle, who is also running in London, opting to run a short leg in a sprightly 16:15.

The Nationals were won by Aldershot Farnham & District A, who finished over five minutes clear of nearest rivals, Aldershot Farnham & District B.
Third-placed Bristol & West AC A also won the incorporated Midland Relays.
