Awards evening recognition for Clark and Davis

Warwickshire Hunt Pony Club celebrate their Junior Team of the Year award.

Fourteen-year-old Clark was part of the six-strong side coached by Davis which claimed the club’s first-ever victory in the Prince Philip Cup for Mounted Games at the Horse of The Year Show.

In recognition of their achievement the duo were at the Dallas Burston Polo Club, near Southam, to receive the Coventry City FC-sponsored award from Sky Blues legend Steve Ogrizovic.

“It was a night I’ll never forget,” said Clark, “incredibly exciting and an eye-opener as there were so many top sportsmen and women there.

“It was a real thrill to win.

“After the excitement of taking the Prince Philip Cup at the Horse of the Year Show, this was a fantastic tribute - for us and our whole team of supporters.”

Coach Davis has had no time to rest on her laurels, however.Training is already under way for next year’s Prince Philip Cup withonly reserve Peter Fielding eligible from the cup-winning squad.
