Bears show steel and then a soft side to beat Sheffield
The Bears travelled to South Yorkshire without any players on their bench but still had more than enough quality to outgun an inexperienced Steelers side.
The first quarter was a one-sided affair with Bears opening up a 24-2 lead.

Bears still held a comfortable 36-10 advantage at half-time and used the second half to practise plays in preparation for forthcoming games while easing off around the basket to encourage Steelers’ new players.
Despite the one-sided nature of the contest, Bears coach Lee Powell said it had proved a useful runout for both sides.
“Although it was an easy game at the end, we were able to use the game as a sort of practice session for the much tougher games coming up,” said Powell.

Bears are back in action on April 27 when they entertain Mansfield Maulers at Warwickshire College’s Henley-in-Arden campus.
