Fighting out of the world-famous Lumpinee Stadium, Coyle won all four of his fights, three by way of knockout.

Now he hopes to discover a new generation of fighters at Singkhao Muay Thai where he will be teaching the sport to youngsters who want to learn either recreationally or with a view to compete, as well as existing fighters.

He said: “Thai boxing is a sport that offers essential life skills such as self-confidence and self-defence and Singkhao can offer this.”

Currently ranked third in the UK featherweight division, the interim Pro Am WRSA British title holder trains at Superpetch Gym alongside UK-ranked fighters and world title holders including Daniel McGowan and Panicos Yusuf.

In addition to passing on the skills he has learnt under MuayThai veterans including Boo Sasiprapa, Rungravee and Kwangwanlek Petchyindee, the 18-year-old has set his sights on overcoming the UK’s top-ranked fighter Alan Weaver and Irish number one James O’Connell before the year is out.

Singkhao Gym can be found at Pinx Gym in Radford Road, with Coyle offering the first taster class for free.
