Bell’s batting heroics make him man of the month

A SPARKLING century in the winning draw against Coventry ensured that Keith Bell of Kenilworth Wardens is the May winner of the Courier’s Man of the Month competition, sponsored by Leamington personal training studio Life Fitness Solutions.

The match, on May 26, was Bell’s second return to his former club Coventry in Wardens’ colours, both of which delivered three-figure scores.

He followed last year’s superb unbeaten 127 with an equally scintillating 107, made off 156 balls.

He also hit seven boundaries and one six.

This innings, along with the ‘Man of the Month’ award, made sure that Bells were successful on both local and national cricket stages.

His brother is Warwickshire and England test star Ian Bell.

Keith wins six cricket balls for his club and a private health, fitness and nutrition check for himself, courtesy of Life Fitness Solutions at their premises in Windsor Place, Leamington.

The check assesses key health markers, such as cholesterol, glucose, body fat percentage and postural imbalances.

Throughout the season, Courier sports editor Paul Okey and a panel of judges will select the monthly winner from match reports submitted by local clubs.

Personal trainer Rob Coster, joint owner of Life Fitness Solutions, said: “After putting in such a great performance, Keith Bell is a deserving winner of the prize for May.”
