A new course for 2014 started with a nice long downhill stretch before undulating through country lanes and returning to the starting hill for a testing half-mile into a blustery wind before reaching the home straight.

Pettifer finished 16th overall in 44min 37sec in the 10k race which was won by unattached runner Jake Watson in 36:46.
