Doyle completed three fitness endurance records on the Heart of England Way to surpass Steve Buttler’s mark of 111 records, kicking off with a four-mile cross-country speed march carrying a 60lb backpack in 47min 43sec.

He then completed the Guinness World Record cross country 10k speed march carrying the same weight in 1:17:39, beating the previous mark by five minutes.

The final feat saw the former paratrooper set a new record for an eight-mile cross-country speed march weighed down with a 60lb pack, clocking 1:51:56.

Despite amassing 112 records since May, Doyle said he will continue to push himself to discourage potential challengers.

“I am five months ahead of the record so a lot of the pressure is now off me,” said Doyle.

“However, I will not relax and will still attempt to achieve as many recognised physical fitness feats as I can to put the world title out of reach.”
