Doyle takes record count to 249

Balsall Common endurance athlete Paddy Doyle is celebrating after pushing his body to the extremes once more to scoop two more strength/endurance records.

The former paratrooper beat fellow Brit Steve Butler’s record for the most fist/knuckle push-ups in a minute carrying 115lb backpack, strapping on a 120lb backpack to record 38, two more than Butler’s mark.

After a ten-minute break he then surpassed American Shaun McDaniels mark of 24 push-ups in a minute while carrying a 119lb backpack.

Doyle completed 29 in the minute while carrying a 120lb backpack.

“My shoulders and neck were cracking on the last ten seconds of each record,” said Doyle. “But I was well prepared and trained hard to beat these tough and challenging strength/endurance records.”

Doyle’s official total of career strength/speed/stamina records now stands at 249 of which he currently holds 149 fitness endurance records.
