The day began with Louis Smithson taking silver in the boys’ under-11 event alongside Jubilee’s Josh Wilkinson.

There was another silver for the Smithson family when brother Noah and Racqueteers’ Jamie Graham were forced to settle for second place behind the Solihull & Shirley pairing of Harrison Franks and Mohammed Ali in the boys’ under-13s’.

Noah doubled his silver collection when he and Alicia Hundal of Virgin Active lost out to his Alveston colleague Gopi Sabanadesan and King’s High pupil Faith Christopherson in the mixed under-13s’ final.

Sam Christopherson took gold in the mixed under-15 event, partnering Kingsley’s Tabitha Sinclair and followed this up by playing above his age group when partnering Alveston clubmate James Martin to claim second place in the boys’ under-17 age group.

Martin then won Alveston’s final gold medal of the day when he and Fergusson beat Conor McClenagan and Caitlin Voges in the mixed under-17 final.
