The Warwickshire team comprising Folkard, fellow Leamington archer Nicola Turner and Emma Davis from Warwick University, won all three elements of the competition.

In Saturday’s WA 70m round their combined score of 1,762 (Folkard 649, Turner 603 and Davis 510) put them well ahead of Essex and Suffolk (1,673) and third-placed Somerset (1,658) and earned them a bye in the first elimination round.

Thereafter, superb shooting saw them go on to beat the Eastern Area 193-165, Hampshire 206-189, Oxfordshire 213-181 and, in the gold final, Essex and Suffolk 200-192.

On Sunday, the Warwickshire ladies accumulated a combined score of 3,623 (Folkard 1,320, Turner 1,174, Davis 1,129), with Essex and Suffolk again in second place with 3,592 points.
