County FA award for Warwick Juniors

Warwick Juniors president Dean Brandrick hailed a “massive achievement” for the club after they received the Charter Standard Club of the Year award at the Birmingham County FA’s presentation night.

The club, who were formed in 2001, continue to grow and will put out 19 girls’ and boys’ teams next season in addition to hosting a junior Saturday morning section at Aylesford School and a disability section.

“This is a massive achievement for the club and me,” said Brandrick. “To receive this award was well deserved for all the effort everyone from the club has put in on and off the field.”

Leamington Lions’ Steve Wharton received the coach of the year award and will now go forward alongside Juniors to the regional shortlist.

 Juniors still have openings in all age groups for the 2012/13 season.

The club is also looking for coaches to help run the disability section and a coach to assist the manager of the under-16 girls.
