Gregory nets Town their first away win

Kenilworth Town recorded their first away win of the season, with Andy Gregory’s first goal for the club proving enough to see off Inkberrow.

An even first half ended goalless despite both teams trying to play football on an excellent surface.

The second half belonged to Town, however, as they upped the tempo, with Chris Hanrahan and former Brake Gregory bossing the midfield.

This allowed Town to create the better of the chances and they went in front in the 70th minute when Ash Knights’ right-wing cross was powerfully headed home by Gregory.

Gregory and Adam Edwards both wasted further chances after finding themselves one on one with the keeper, but they did not prove crucial as Kenilworth comfortably held on for the win.
