Hibs beat Alcester to boost promotion hopes
Hibs took the lead in the tenth minute withMike Yates netting from close range following a corner.
A Rich Heath header brought out a top-drawer save from the home keeper and Heath then saw an effort ruled out for an alleged foul.

Hide AdAdam Edwards was denied on more than one occasion by the home keeper before Calum Yeates missed a glorious chance at the far post from a Heath cross.
Alcester almost snatched an undeserved equaliser before the break when James Gifford lobbed an out-of-position Ollie Manuel. However, Mike Yates was on hand to complete a superb headed goalline clearance.
Hibs remained in control after the break and doubled their lead 15 minutes in when Yeates headed home Heath’s cross.
Matty Trinder pounced from close range to make it 3-0 and Edwards hit both posts before Heath struck the crossbar with a diving header.

Hide AdAlcester scored a consolation with five minutes remaining but it failed to take the gloss off an excellent afternoon for Rich Kay’s side.
“The result was the most important thing,” said Kay.
“The game should have been over in the first half-hour such was our dominance but we continued to create chances in the second half
“We’re right in the mix now and on a great run, but we will continue to take each game as its comes over a hectic period and continue to work hard.”
Abdullah Torabi scored twice as Kenilworth Town thrashed Austrey 5-0.
