Hibs salvage a point but it should have been more

An 85th-minute penalty from Andy Yeates rescued a point for Leamington Hibs at Northfield Town in the Midland Combination Division Two.

Hibs twice came back from a goal down, with Adam Edwards scoring an earlier equaliser in a match which also saw Calum Yeates dismissed for two bookable offences.

But despite the lateness of Hibs’ equaliser, player-coach Rich Kay felt it was two points dropped.

“The tempo we played at second half was just too much for them,” said Kay. “But again the mix of an inspired home keeper and us not taking our chances has cost us three points.”
