CRC sealed a semi-final place in the Rugby & District Sunday League’s Sir Jack Scamp (Division One) Cup. They overtook The Bell with a 4-0 victory, Alex Redpath-Potter, Jamie Reynolds-Wilkins and Aaron Dawes with a brace scoring.

Hillmorton were three goals up against The George before finally winning 3-2. Jay Lawes was on target twice, along with Shane Osborne. Joseph Durant and Dan Field netted for The George.

In the Division Two (Rugby Borough Council) Cup Crick Athletic bowed away from the league with a 6-1 defeat to Braunston. Lewis Isom and Martin Fincham both bagged two goals and George Kelly and Nathan Reynolds the others. Darius Keynejad scored Crick’s consolation.

In the Division Three (Mark Lawrence) Cup Red Lion and London Calling battled to a 3-3 draw.

Robert Crinigan, Iain Smith and David Rawes scored for Red Lion. Robert Bell (2) and Lee Trainer netted for London Calling.

Hillmorton Old Boys beat Rugby Borough Vets 2-1 thanks to Garry Lane and David Feeeman goals. Nick Grimshaw scored for Borough.

This Sunday’s games see the first legs of the semi-finals. Division One: Hillmorton v CRC and Royal Oak United v The George.

Division Two: Bar 8 FC v Jolly Abbott and Braunston v Caldecott Arms.
