No pressure on us in Vase, says Knight

The Ridgeons Premier League side arrive at Townsend Meadow having won ten of their last 11 games and with the backing of a coachload of supporters.

However, after three impressive wins in the competition, including a 4-0 thrashing of Stratford in the last round, Knight said his side have already exceeded expectations.

“We’ll enjoy the day,” said Knight. “There’s no pressure on us. We’ve already put a decent amount of money into the club with our three wins in the competition.

“We’ll be competitive and if we play like we have been doing we might cause an upset.”

Wisbech boss Steve Appleby, meanwhile, is not underestimating the Fenmen’s task, despite his side being one level higher than Racing Club.

“The fact they play at Step 6 means nothing to me,” said Appleby. “They have already been to a higher level club in Stratford and won, so we will pay them the respect they deserve.”

With Ricardo Richards cup-tied, Reece Lynch is expected to partner Craig Thomas in attack for Racing Club.

Strikers Chris Bacon and Liam Nimmo are the players Racers need to watch, with the Wisbech duo having notched 28 goals between them this season.
