Two penalties saw the points shared in the rain-soaked Potteries on Saturday, as Rugby Town again struggled against ten-man opposition.

Kevin Thornton had put Valley ahead from the spot in the 20th minute, with Kidsgrove red-carded.

But in awful conditions, the home side held on and equalised from a penalty of their own in the 80th minute.

Rugby Town’s next game is at home to league leaders Stafford Rangers on Saturday. Rugby remain tenth in the table.
