Walker is a new Blue

Remi Walker has become the third Leamington Juniors player in three years to sign for Birmingham City. Walker, 8, joined Juniors at five years old and his keen eye for goal will now see him turn out for Championship club’s Academy under-nines.

Walker follows in the footsteps of Matt Archer, who joined Blues aged 16 and Jeremy Poulson, who earned an under-21 League winners medal and North Conference League runners-up medal before departing to Loughborough University.

Juniors’ development coach Richard Poulson said: “It is so pleasing to see local talent get recognised and rewarded. These players have worked extremely hard to achieve their dreams.
