The final, held over two rounds of the Balgove and Strathtyrum courses at St Andrews, saw 108 of the United Kingdom’s most gifted young golfers gathering to take part in this leading junior event for the much coveted Wee Wonders title which has been running for 15 years.

Chanon, whose golfing talent has already been recognised by many at Kenilworth Golf Club, demonstrated his full potential by holding his nerve in a very competitive final to win the 5-6 years age group.

Chanon’s victory has earned him an invitation to the 2012 US Kids World Championships to be held at Pinehurst, North Carolina, in August next year.
