Gulliver bows out of Worlds in first round


The nine-time world champion took out an edgy first leg with double ten, but it was to prove her only success of the afternoon as her Dutch opponent claimed the next six legs.
A 17-darter from Schuur levelled the set before a 68 finish saw her claim the third leg against the throw.

Hide AdThree failures at double eight from the Golden Girl then allowed Schuur to take the first set.
With the bit between her teeth, Schuur then raced through the second set, with a 147 finish in the second leg proving the highlight.
“My prep has been good over a very difficult year so I myself am surprised at my performance,” admitted Gulliver.
