In search of Warwick district’s sporting heroes

It’s time to nominate your heroes for the 2011 Warwick District Sports Awards.

The continued success of the event - now in its fifth year - means we are once again preparing to celebrate our local sporting success, whether it be on the international stage, or the playing fields of Harbury Lane.

All the winners will be revealed during a presentation evening at Leamington town hall on November 11, 2011.

With your help, we will compile a list of nominations and draw up a shortlist from which the winners will be chosen to receive their awards at the town hall.

Once again, players, coaches and helpers of all ages are eligible for the awards. All we ask is that nominees must live, go to school or play for a club in the district to be eligible for an award.

All sports - from archery to yachting - will be considered.

We want your nominations, be they experienced international champions, determined youngsters achieving their first local success or tireless volunteers who have worked behind the scenes for years.

n Simply complete and post the nomination form on this page, email [email protected], stating the person you are nominating, which category and your reasons, together with your name, address, daytime or mobile telephone number and email address.

The closing date for all nominations is October 5.
