Khalsa are held for a fourth time

Khalsa recorded their fourth National Conference draw in six after being pegged back by bottom-of-the-table Doncaster at the weekend.

Khalsa drew first blood when Aaron Nagra’s short corner was stopped illegally on the line and Gurminder Ghattaura stepped up to flick the ball into the roof of the net

Doncaster responded with a 15-minute spell of pressure which resulted in goals from Dom Foster and Marcus Booth and a 2-1 half-time lead.

Ghattaura had a chance to bring Khalsa level shortly after the break, but with just the keeper to beat, he missed the target.

Scott Cordon, Sean Robinson and Amritpal Atwal also failed to test the home keeper before Cordon finally brought Khalsa level, knocking home the rebound after Alex Idoine’s shot was parried into his path.

Khalsa pressed for a third and Jas Singh produced a clever finish from a short corner to give them the advantage.

However, Doncaster refused to buckle and Joe Morrison earned them a point from the spot after shot from a penalty corner was deemed to have been stopped illegally.
