McDonald doubles up at awards
Megan McDonald picked up two trophies at the West Midlands Triathlon Series awards night, held at Bromsgrove’s council rooms.
The Cubbington athlete, who competes in the girls’ T3 age group, took second in both the aquathlon (swim and run) and triathlon series.
She received her awards from British Triathlon chief executive Zara Hyde-Peters OBE.

Hide AdFellow Mike Vaughan Cycles athlete George Goodwin won the boys’ triathlon series and was runner-up in the aquathlon.
With the triathlon season now in hibernation, both athletes are turning their attentions to the cross-country campaign, with McDonald representing Leamington C&AC and Goodwin turning out for Rugby.
