Minett’s triple shines through the showers

Heavy showers failed to dampen spirits at Warwick Boat Club’s annual ladies’ two woods competition, with play continuing through the rain.

Those who stuck it out were rewarded with some welcome sunshine late in the day and Jill Minett had even more reason to celebrate after skipping Lorna Lee and Beryl Ambrose to tournament victory.

Vivienne Griffin (skip), Diane Harvey and Jean Thorpe were runners-up.
