Can you help with these old photos?

A Kenilworth woman is appealing for readers’ help with these two pictures which she found in a box of family photographs.

Jeanette Ward of Ashfield Road, Kenilworth, believes her grandfather William Taylor is fourth from the left in the photograph of a group of men.

She thinks they may have been taking part in a fishing competition but does not know when or where it was taken.

Mrs Ward said: “My grandfather may have been known as Bill. He was married to Mary and they lived in Albion Street.”

At first she thought her father, Eric Taylor, might have been in the photo, but she added: “After looking at dates of birth and death I do not think my father is in the picture as William Taylor died when Eric was 11 years old.

“My grandparents on my mum’s side were called Reginald and Evelyn Huggins and they lived in School Lane.”

She thinks the second photograph of a group of girls was taken in the 1950s but cannot identify anyone in it or where it was taken.
