

The reunion was organised by John Lyons, the club historian, who has written a book on the club’s history with some remarkable old photos.
It is 30 years since the team set a world record for the longest unbeaten run by a rugby team between 1980 and 1984, going 92 successive games without defeat.

Their efforts were recorded in the Guinness Book of Records where they were cited as the world’s best rugby team.
The colour photo shows Chris Adams presenting a certificate of the record to club chairman Phil McGaffin and the black and white photo shows what the team looked like back in 1984.
